Playfulness, unboxing experience and ecology. International packaging design competition presents its results

 

This year’s contest invited designers to reflect on the interconnection of packaging, functionality, ecology and unboxing experience. Contestants came up with playful concepts. Each participant found a different way to surprise the jury when opening the package. There were designs based on illustrations, a particular shape of paper, or a well-designed mechanism. Some put more emphasis on ecology, while others thought about product protection. And which packaging was the most surprising for the jury?
